Llama Tours, Walks and Activities

Visit Skjolden, meet the llamas and enjoy a very special experience. The farm is located just 500 meters from the centre of Skjolden.

Below are listed details of activities on offer during 2026. 

PLEASE BOOK IN ADVANCE. We are often involved with other work here on the farm and very busy at times, we can therefore not always guarantee that we can organise tours or activities at short notice.  

CRUISE SHIPS. On most days when cruise ships are visiting Skjolden, we will offer llama walks as part of the ships shore excursion programme and the tours are therefore bookable through the cruise lines. If there is enough available time we will also arrange additional, shorter farm visits and activities which are bookable direct with ourselves, there are also some days when we take direct bookings for some or all of the llama walks, details will be listed at the bottom of this section of the website as soon as the itinary has been finalised and a minimum of two or three days in advance of each ship docking in Skjolden. There will be a MINIMUM of one llama available for every two people on the walk when cruise ships are here.  Advance booking is advised on cruise days due to limited capacity and the popularity of the llama walk.

ACTIVITIES - NON-CRUISE DAYS.

 

River Walk

Meet our llamas, learn how to handle them, and take your own llama for a relaxing walk along the beautiful Mørkridselva River. The walk takes around 20 minutes each way. Along the route we visit one of our fields, were we spend a bit of time, before we return to the farm the same way.

Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours

Price: NOK 300 per person

Farm visit

Join us for a short guided tour of the farm, where you'll have the opportunity to meet and interact with our llamas, as well as say hello to some of our sheep.

Duration: Approximately 45 minutes

Price: NOK 125 per person (minimum charge: NOK 250)

Other Activities.

We are happy to tailor tours and activities to suit your interests. Perhaps you'd like to experience the lambing season in April or May, join us on a livestock check during June or July, or enjoy a longer hike in the mountains with our llamas.

CRUISE DATES 2026.

We will be organising llama walks and/or short farm visits on most of the days that ships are visiting Skjolden this year. We are currently still in the process of planning itinaries for "cruise days" and will publish details as soon as we have them finalised. Below are listed details that we have so far for this season, where there are farm visits available, these are sold directly, last approx 45 minutes and on cruise dates, are priced at NOk 100/person (children up to 6 years old are free). Send an email for more details and to reserve places.   

Please note that on most dates, the tours are sold as part of the official excursions program and only bookable via the cruise company. Dates are as follows;

July 4th. OCEANA MARINA. 45 minute llama farm visit 10:30 NOK 125/person book directly with us.

Payment accepted in Kroner, US Dollars, GB Pound and Euro. We also accept credit card and VIPPS payment.
